Where forgotten boats and ancient tides share the same breath.

Along this ancient coastline, boats rest where the sea has left them. Some lean into the shingle, others lie half-buried in mud, their wooden ribs exposed like the bones of something once alive. They are no longer vessels in the true sense — they no longer carry anything except memory and time.

These are not romantic wrecks. They are quiet survivors. Paint peels in long, deliberate strips. Rust blooms across metal fittings. The wood has turned silver-grey from years of salt and weather. Each vessel carries the marks of work done and journeys completed, now slowly being claimed by the same landscape that once supported them.

This collection explores the final stage of a vessel’s life — when usefulness has ended but presence remains. The light here is often soft and low, the colours muted, the atmosphere heavy with salt and silence. These boats are no longer going anywhere, yet they still hold a kind of dignity. They have become part of the coast itself.
