Privacy Policy
This is a one-man studio. I collect as little information as I can get away with, I don’t sell it to anybody, and I don’t send email that isn’t worth opening. What follows sets out exactly what is held, why, and how to get rid of it.

1. What I collect
When you make a print enquiry. Your name, email address, any message you write, and the reference code of the work you asked about. If the enquiry becomes an order, I also hold your delivery address and a record of what was sold, at what price, on what date.
When you join the email list. Your email address, and the date and source of your sign-up. Nothing else. No name is required and none is asked for.
When you browse the site. Anonymous, aggregated statistics — pages viewed, approximate country, device type, how you arrived. This tells me which work people stop on. It does not tell me who you are.
2. Why I hold it, and on what basis
Enquiry and order information is held to answer you, to produce and ship your print, and to maintain the edition record. The lawful basis is performance of a contract, and legal obligation for the financial records HMRC requires.
Email list data is held on the basis of your consent, given when you signed up and withdrawable at any moment.
Website statistics are held on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
3. The email list
Subscribers hear when a new single edition is released, and occasionally when I have written something worth reading. There is no fixed schedule and no filler.
The list is managed by Brevo, whose servers are in the European Union. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate and permanent — no confirmation step, no attempt to talk you out of it. You can also email me directly and I will remove you by hand.
Being on the list is not the same as being a customer. Signing up does not add you to any sales record, and making a purchase does not add you to the list.
4. Who else sees your information
A small number of service providers process data on my behalf, each bound to use it only for the task given to them:
- Brevo — email list management and delivery (EU)
- Krystal — website hosting (UK)
- Google Analytics — anonymised website statistics
- My print laboratory and courier — delivery name and address only, for orders
- My payment provider — payment details, which I never see or store myself
Your information is never sold, rented, traded, or handed to anyone for marketing. It is disclosed beyond the above only where the law requires it.
5. How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted after 24 months. Order and financial records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires. Edition records — title, reference code, date of sale — are kept permanently, because an edition record with gaps in it is worth nothing; these hold no personal detail beyond the fact that the work found an owner. Email list data is held until you unsubscribe.
6. Cookies
This site uses essential cookies needed to make pages load and forms work, and analytics cookies that record how the site is used. Analytics data is anonymised and is never used to advertise to you or to build a profile of you. You can block or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings without losing access to anything on the site.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask me to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, provide it in a portable form, or object to my holding it at all. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

8. Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry and order records is restricted to me. No system is perfectly secure, but the smaller the amount of information held, the less there is to lose — which is one of the reasons I keep so little.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated as the studio’s tools change. The date below shows when it was last revised. Terms governing the sale of prints are set out separately under terms and conditions.
