The Lantern in the Ruins

I’m drawn to abandoned places not for their drama, but for their restraint. When industry leaves, the building doesn’t become a story — it becomes a surface on which weather, time, and silence can quietly work.

Here, the sky presses down like a lid. Windows are empty, walls are scarred, and the structure looks as if it has been paused mid-sentence. Then there is the small, circular light — a single warm point that refuses to match the coldness around it.

This work sits within my fine art blog practice, where each image is treated as a focused study — one paragraph in a longer reflection on endurance, loss, and the beauty of what remains.
